Episode 2.07 transcript - “just this once”

ADAM RAYMONDA: Windfall is intended for a mature audiences, see our show notes for more information. Listener discretion is advised.

[SFX: Quiet as two sets of muffled footsteps approach and then stop.]

GERT: Cas. Kendall. You have a request for the Council… I think I speak for all of us when I say that we're very curious to hear what that might be.

[SFX: Silence as Cas struggles with where to start.]

CAS: We - Kendall and I - are here to ask your permission to move a citizen from the upper levels into our community.

LEBOOF: We've already discussed the subject of bringing new Proximans into our home. The consensus was that we're almost at capacity as it is-

WILLEM: -You were literally advocating to bring more people in last-

LEBOOF: Yes, the correct people could be strategically advantageous to us, people I know personally-

SHAIMA: It's a moot point, we're not near capacity, we're past it, Cas. Where would we even put them?

CAS: We'd work it out- she's been working for us, but she won't finish the job until she's down here with us. Only...

PAV: Something tells me you're holding back. Spit it out, you two.

KENDALL: She's Wolfpac.

GERT: Wolfpac?! Wanda save us... have you lost your mind?

LEBOOF: I am loathe to admit it, but the Wolves can' be trusted. What if it's a set up?

WILLEM: He's right. This could very well be a trap.

CAS: Listen, before you make up your mind, she's already risked her life for us-

KENDALL: -She found Argus.

SHAIMA: What?!

GERT: How? Where?

CAS: He's in a work camp. She found his Inmate number and knows his location.

KENDALL: All she wants is a way outta the Wolfpac.

CAS: She found Argus to prove she's on our side. It's only right we help her.

WILLEM: So you admit that you didn't even trust her at first?

KENDALL: It's hard to trust anyone up there.

CAS: But she's on our side. Finding Argus... that was dangerous.

LEBOOF: Look, I don't know this Argus person, but are they worth putting the whole compound at risk?

SHAIMA: Yes, he is.

PAV: How well do you know her? Can you describe her somewhat?

KENDALL: We were recruits at the same time, but that's the most we've ever interacted, if I'm being honest.

CAS: She's a little bit of a loose cannon, but...

WILLEM: This vague description isn't helping your case.

KENDALL: I know you're worried, but leaving her up there poses more of a threat to us.

CAS: She could just as easily hurt Argus as she could save him.

GERT: I think we've heard enough. If the rest of the council agrees, I say we take her in and keep her with our other two guests, until we have Argus and she's proven her loyalty.

WILLEM: Are you sure about this, Gert?

SHAIMA: That's our family, Willem. She's positive. And I am too.

KENDALL: Now, wait a minute, I don't think she'd go for...

WILLEM: (cutting her off) All in favor?

[SFX: We go down the line, "Ayes" from Gert, Shaima, Pav, and Willem.]

LEBOOF: I suppose that, even were I to protest, it'd go unheard?

CAS: You're damn right it would.

GERT: Cas. Be quiet.

LEBOOF: (sighing) Aye.

WILLEM: Alright, motion passes. We'll take her in, so long as she follows the rules we've set out for her.

KENDALL: If getting Argus back were such a huge priority, you'd realize you're making a mistake.

CAS: I'm with Kendall, I don't like this.

GERT: It's the best we can do, under the circumstances.

[SFX: Gert slaps the table.]

GERT: Meeting adjourned.

[SFX: The sound of everyone leaving the room and transition music ends the scene.]

[SFX: There's a quick knock at the door, but it opens before Timms can answer.]

JACOB: (clears throat) Admiral.

TIMMS: Whatever it is, Jacob, it'll have to wait. I swear, I cannot deal with anything else falling apart.

JACOB: I actually came here to say that you need to take a break. You've been working hard, barely sleeping-

TIMMS: No, no no-

JACOB: Come on, doctor's orders. You can't keep going on like this, we need you in good health.

TIMMS: I appreciate your concern. I really do, but-

JACOB: If you think we're experiencing a shit storm right now imagine what it'll be like when you finally collapse.

TIMMS: How do you expect me to sleep? To take even a moment for myself when I have so many sick men and no way to cure them? And let's face it, we didn't even have enough when we landed, and now... The only reason we're still standing is because these Proximans are too docile to realize they outnumber us ten to one… Oh my god. How did I fuck this up so badly?

JACOB: You've got too much on your plate to begin with- these skeleton crews set us up for failure every fucking time. You must know that by now.

TIMMS: I knew the constraints of the job when I signed up for this mission- it's no excuse Jacob, I know better! I'm failing, I'm actively failing, the fault lies with me-

JACOB: Alright- enough- up,

[SFX: The sounds of a brief struggle.]

TIMMS: Ow! Alright, alright, I'm up, Jesus...

JACOB: Come with me now for ten minutes change of scenery and I will leave you alone for the rest of the night.

TIMMS: Fine.

[SFX: They begin to walk from the room.]

TIMMS: If you ever manhandle me like that in front of my men I'll have you court-marshaled.

JACOB: Copy that boss.

TIMMS: Long friendship withstanding I would have to make a real example of you. I can't risk any hint of insubordination.

JACOB: Heard loud and clear Admiral.

TIMMS: (mumbling) You really fucking pinched my arm... and it fucking hurts...

[SFX: Jacob chuckles as they walk away from us down a hallway.]

[SFX: Pav hums to herself as she pins a fold of Kendall's robe in place. She accidentally sticks Kendall in the leg.]

KENDALL: Ow! Be careful, Pav!

PAV: (irritated) It was an accident!

KENDALL: Well, it hurt.

PAV: Okay, I'm sorry.

[SFX: Pav stops humming and makes a noise of satisfaction and she makes another adjustment. Kendall flinches.]

PAV: Could you hold still, please? Since when were you such a baby about a robe fitting?

KENDALL: I'm not a baby, you're hurting me.

[SFX: Pav sets down her pins and slumps back on her heels.]

PAV: (sighing) This isn't about the pins, is it?

KENDALL: What?

PAV: You're mad about the Council.

KENDALL: Of course, I am. It's stupid. The whole thing is stupid.

PAV: So you think the concept of everyone having equal representation in this compound is stupid?

KENDALL: In this one specific instance? Yes.

PAV: I know you're upset, but we have to go about this the right way.

KENDALL: It just makes me feel like I'm back in the Wolfpac listening to Root say, "Good work, Cadet, unfortunately, we have to follow protocol"-

PAV: That was one person with serious control issues. The Council is a group of people who've come together to work for the community. Can you guarantee our people will be safe if this Wolf joins our ranks?

KENDALL: This is our one chance to find Argus. Treating Vivienne like a prisoner's not gonna help things.

PAV: We have to be careful, Kendall. So careful, especially when it comes to your old colleagues.

KENDALL: But-

PAV: I know what you're doing. You think being the one to bring Argus home will erase all of your past mistakes.

KENDALL: So what if I am? Don't I owe it to Cas - to my best friend - to find his brother when it's because of me he's already lost his uncle?

PAV: It's not up to you to fix this. None of us can put the world back together alone.

KENDALL: I feel like such an outcast sometimes. Like I have to earn my keep more than anyone else. They love you. You're even on the Council now! They'll never feel that way about me. I wish I could take back being in the Wolfpac, but I can't! I can't change that choice!

PAV: If you were never on the Wolfpac, we wouldn't have met. That has to count for something.

KENDALL: And I almost ruined that too! All I've done is fuck everything up. I'm sorry for wanting to do something right for once!

PAV: But you are doing good, Kendall. You go to the Upper Levels and bring down things we desperately need. Even if no one else notices, I do. And I've forgiven you for what happened between us. Isn't that enough?

KENDALL: No, I don't know. Can you blame me for wanting a fucking win? I don't wanna just scavenge, can't I be the one to save the day?

PAV: (almost in tears) You are saving the day. This contact of yours, if she truly wants out, if she really wants to be here, she'll understand what she has to do to earn that place.

KENDALL: (skeptical) You don't know Vivienne like I do. Putting her in this kind of position? She's liable to turn on us. I'm telling you, we need to keep her happy if we want to bring Argus home safe.

PAV: It's not your decision to make. It's not even mine alone. Please, promise me you won't disobey the Council's orders.

KENDALL: What do you think I'm going to do?

PAV: I don't know...

KENDALL: Okay, I promise. I won't do anything too dumb.

PAV: Thank you.

[SFX: Pav resumes fitting the robe.]

KENDALL: You and Cas are all I have in this whole world. I love you.

PAV: I love you too.

[SFX: Kendall bends down to plant a kiss on pav's lips. transition music ends the scene.]

[SFX: Clanking and rustling, an ominous whirring sound. Willem laughs good-naturedly.]

BENNY: Wanda's balls! It should work. Hold on...

[SFX: More whirring, grinding gears sound.]

WILLEM: (laughing) Is it sentient? Seems angry.

BENNY: It should work, Willem, if you'll just put your...

WILLEM: (helpfully) Arm.

BENNY: Yes, arm, into this scooped piece.

WILLEM: Benny is it safe? It's sparking.

BENNY: (exasperated)Yes! I worked on it all last night. It should be perfectly safe. The charge is minimal regardless.

WILLEM: Good enough for me! I trust you Ben.

BENNY: You do?

WILLEM: Of course! Should I not?

BENNY: I've got a bit of a reputation for always being the most trustworthy. Came by it honestly though.

WILLEM: I can only go by what I've personally seen, and I know you to be kind, hardworking, and a mechanical genius.

BENNY: Oh... thanks. I guess I've never seen myself as any of those things.

WILLEM: That's a shame. It's easier to hear about our worst qualities than our best, but I mean it. Maybe it's time to start thinking about who you are now, instead of who you were… Anyway- let's try this baby out!

[SFX: Benny clears his throat, a little awkward from Willem's praise.]

BENNY: Let me just tighten this piece here.

[SFX: Whirring and grinding commence again, but then settle into a smooth hum.]

BENNY: Okay, it's running!

WILLEM: Oh my Wanda! How does it work?!

BENNY: So this here activates- the grip function. Here, hold this.

WILLEM: WANDA'S BALLS I AM HOLDING A CUP!

[SFX: The cup crunches in Willem's grip and they both laugh.]

BENNY: I made it outta old compactor parts so it's got an intense grip. You'll just have to get used to your new strength.

WILLEM: You're a fucking genius Benny! Thank you so much, I could never repay you.

BENNY: It was no big deal.

WILLEM: I disagree, it's a huge deal.

BENNY: Do you wanna try punching stuff?

WILLEM: Yes

BENNY: Awesome- I brought some boards!

[SFX: Scene out on Willem smashing things and hooting with glee, and Benny laughing.]

[SFX: Mila's henchmen sing, laugh and banter as they move boxes of product from the warehouse to the ships. We hear the click of Mila's boots as she walks purposefully through the commotion.]

SWIFT: (surprised) Mila. Has something come up? I'm not used to seeing you down here.

MILA: Oh, I like to come down to the docks every once in a while. Make sure the men still know whose in charge around here.

SWIFT: Of course, clever thinking, as always.

MILA: Yes-

SWIFT: I'm glad you're here, actually, I was just going to give you a call.

MILA: Good news, I hope.

SWIFT: Our last elderweed lead called...

MILA: And?

SWIFT: They have nothing-

MILA: Wanda-damnit! This is getting ridiculous! The only thing they want is the one thing we can't supply.

SWIFT: There's only one move left to us.

MILA: We've already discussed this. Vernon's boys have more weapons than I can comfortably sneer at. It's not worth it.

SWIFT: I agree, but there's something I've been turning over in my head since the day I arrived here. When the humans paid for the men I turned in, I was promised fifty credits a head. Only, when the time came the payment was fifty credits short.

MILA: Someone got away...

SWIFT: That's right, so I asked myself, who's the one sneaking, skulking little bottomfeeder who could actually find a way out of a situation like that?

MILA: Oh, don't tell me it's...

SWIFT: Benny.

MILA: At least he's harmless. He probably wouldn't even put two-and-two together.

SWIFT: Actually, he's better than harmless. Benny's useful.

MILA: I don't follow.

SWIFT: There's only one other person he'd go to for help if he really needed it.

MILA: Gert.

SWIFT: That's right.

MILA: (delighted) I see where this is going. He's our ticket to the elderweed.

SWIFT: If I were you, I'd tell the boys to keep an eye out for him.

MILA: That's exactly what we'll do.

[SFX: Boots march towards them at a fast clip.]

CADE: (excited, but breathless) Mila, I've been looking for you everywhere…Swift.

MILA: (unusually formal) News from the camp?

CADE: That I do.

MILA: Alright, not in front of everyone, Cade.

[SFX: The three move off to the side, noise from the docks quiets.]

MILA: Alright, what do you have?

CADE: I've had my eye on work camp two, just like Swift said. Most of the human guards have been pulled from the camp. Only a handful remain along with a small Wolfpac contingent.

MILA: I wonder what that means?

SWIFT: Why the sudden withdrawal?

CADE: I watched one of the humans there go stark raving mad. He was sweating bullets and yelling until some of his own showed up and dragged him away.

MILA: How very interesting.

SWIFT: It seems they're much weaker than they'd have us believe.

CADE: That's exactly why we need to strike now before they send reinforcements back down. I'm telling you, we could easily take the camp by storm and free your father.

MILA: (abruptly) No.

CADE: Why not? This is our chance!

MILA: We can't just go in there, guns blazing. We need to think this through.

CADE: I don't know if we'll ever get an opportunity like this again...

MILA: I hear you, Cade. No one wants my father out more than I do, but I need you to keep this between the three of us for now. Can you do that?

CADE: (defeated) As you wish.

[SFX: Cade turns to leave.]

MILA: Hold on a moment, Cade.

[SFX: Cade stops in her tracks and turns.]

CADE: Yeah, boss?

MILA: I have a new mission for you. Something very sensitive.

[SFX: The sounds of the dock creep in over the scene as Mila and Cade walk away together.]

[SFX: Cas opens up a bottle and takes a swig when Shaima walks in, which causes Cas to choke on for a second.]

SHAIMA: Can't say I expected to see you skulking around down here. Don't you have a Wolf to rescue?

CAS: (laughing in disbelief) I can't believe it either, but if you insist I can get myself back out there. Was just hoping for a break.

SHAIMA: No, no, no. I'm only kidding. Stay… Can I get a nip of that bottle there?

CAS: Huh? … Oh, yeah, sure.

[SFX: Cas hands Shaima the bottle, who takes a hearty swig. the two share a moment of contemplative silence.]

SHAIMA: You're unusually quiet.

CAS:

Hmm? Oh, yeah. Sorry. It's been a rough few days.

SHAIMA: You're keeping yourself outta trouble, right?

CAS: As much as possible, given the circumstances.

SHAIMA: Then what's bothering you?

CAS: (choked up) Kendall and I went back to the shop.

SHAIMA: (reserved) Oh.

CAS: (speaking quickly)I haven't been back since Contact Day and it all just came flooding back. The years I spent trying to get ahead, working for Isaac. It never being enough. I... I should have given Mila the guns the moment Vern showed them to me, but something stopped me… Maybe if it hadn't, things would be different. Vern would be down here with us.

SHAIMA: You can't beat yourself up like that, Cas. It won't bring Vern back, and it won't gonna help us move on either.

CAS: (crying) Shaima, it's my fault he died. How am I supposed to live with that?

SHAIMA: (deep breath) I won't lie to you, I spent a lot of time blaming you at first, but Vern... he was no saint. The debt he was in had nothing to do with you, and his refusal to pay it back put him in the ground just as much as you helping Kendall arrest Isaac did.

CAS: But...

SHAIMA: But nothing.

[SFX: Shaima hands Cas the bottle back. He takes another swig.]

SHAIMA: Look, I know I don't say it enough. I don't say it at all, even. But I love you, Cas. We've had our issues, but you're a good man. Don't let Vern's death make you forget that.

CAS: Stop it. You don't owe me any kindness. Not after what I did.

SHAIMA: No, I'm serious. I've given you a lot of shit over the years, but...I can't imagine losing you, too. With Vern gone, and Argus... you're all I've got left. The idea of you putting yourself in danger for all of these people may make me uneasy, but that doesn't stop you. You've grown. You've go nothing to prove anymore.

CAS: (calming down) Thanks, Shaim. I mean that.

SHAIMA: Tell me though, seriously. I know Kendall trusts Vivienne, but do you?

CAS: It's hard to tell, but I'm not in a position to worry about that. This is the first news we've heard in months. I can't sacrifice that just because we've got a bad gut feeling.

SHAIMA: Promise me one thing.

CAS: What's that?

SHAIMA: When she tells us where he is, you let me come get him with you.

CAS: I don't know if that's such a good idea... You really think the council would agree to that?

SHAIMA: You think I care? No matter how much power I'm given, no matter how many people come into our care, the only ones that are ever really gonna matter are you, Argus, and Gertie. So if anyone's gonna be out there risking their lives for him, it's gotta be us.

CAS: I couldn't agree with you more.

SHAIMA: Bring it in, Cas.

[SFX: The two brothers hug. it's a genuinely happy moment, until Benny clears his throat.]

BENNY: I can't say I ever expected to walk in on that sight.

CAS: (clearing his throat)It was nothing.

BENNY: (laughing) It sure didn't look like nothing.

SHAIMA: Benny! I saw Willem earlier, his new arm looks incredible.

BENNY: (sheepish) Aw, stop. You're gonna make me blush.

CAS: He's not kidding, Willem just about broke my hand shaking it.

[SFX: Benny picks up a bottle of the shelf and tosses it between his hands.]

BENNY: I was just stopping down to grab a little something to celebrate. You two up for a hand of cards?

CAS: Ah, I wish I could but I've gotta go find Helina. Next time, though.

BENNY: You're no fun!

SHAIMA: I hate to do this, Benny, but I've got one more thing I want you to check on before we can celebrate.

BENNY: Anything, Shaima. Happily.

SHAIMA: Root and Wanda start work tomorrow, but we can't begin construction on the new bunks until we know the tunnel's stable. I'd do it myself but I'm about to take care of something for Gert. Can you do a sweep?

BENNY: Say no more.

SHAIMA: Thanks so much, buddy.

BENNY: I'm holding you to that hand, though!

[SFX: The bottle is placed back upon the shelf and all three walk out of the room. transition music creeps into the scene.]

[SFX: Timms and Jacob enter the sky garden. There's the sound of water falling in a fountain nearby, chirping of bugs, the rustle of a bird in a bush. The ground is made up of cobblestones and the sound from their footfalls is swallowed up by the dense foliage all around them.]

TIMMS: It is remarkable how beautiful that brat's sky garden is. You'd never see this kind of growth back home. All of these trees and plants and flowers...

JACOB: I come here at least once a day, if I can. There's something about it that feels... safe.

[SFX: As they talk they get closer and closer to the fountain.

TIMMS: BT9 claims that she hasn't come to this place in years. Incredible that it's kept up this well.

[SFX: They walk past the fountain and sit on a nearby bench.]

JACOB: Even you have to admit that it's amazing what those two managed to do on this planet. They established a monarchy and made Wanda a living God.

TIMMS: I'd hardly give them that much credit. The Proximans did most of this to themselves. How many of them saw Queen Wanda as a means to an end? A way to elevate themselves above everyone else - quite literally.

JACOB: I guess they're not so different from us then.

[SFX: Jacob fidgets with his jacket and then produces a flask from his inside pocket. He unscrews the top and splashes the liquid inside around as he speaks.]

JACOB: Care for a taste?

TIMMS: (laughs) Where in the Hell did you get that?

JACOB: I can't tell you. Let's just say that someone got ahold of some of the cryo-grain storage on our way over here.

TIMMS: Ugh, it's bathtub whiskey. Disgusting.

JACOB: We all needed a drink after the disaster that was that desolate star in Ophiuchus.

[SFX: Timms takes the flask and drinks from it, a shorter pull than Jacob’'s. Jacob cheers and Timms coughs at the taste.]

TIMMS: That is truly terrible. I can't believe you drink that.

JACOB: Trust me, it grows on you.

TIMMS: Ophiuchus..... Jacob. What are we doing? Why did we agree to another round of this?!

JACOB: Because it pays really, really well, and we can send it home to our families.

TIMMS: Yes, our dearest loved ones who we will most likely never see again- Fuck- I'm sorry-

JACOB: What?

TIMMS: I'm sorry. It was insensitive, considering....

JACOB: Mary… The only reason she was on that mission at all was because of me.

[SFX: Jacob takes another loud swig.]

TIMMS: I let her down.

JACOB: We all let her down, but me most of all. I should've protected her. We were on a dangerous alien planet. I should've paid better attention.

TIMMS: I refuse to let that happen here… But these men... I can't imagine this is what they signed up for either. Sign a document, get on a ship knowing you'll never see your family again, fly across the galaxy to colonize a new world only to contract a plague when they arrive. It makes me sick.

JACOB: They're making money for their families and they're helping the entire human race. That's what I told Mary. That's why she agreed to come. It was an adventure. The great humanitarian effort.

TIMMS: I guess we won't know if it was worth it or not until the end. If we're successful, it was a life well-lived, if we lose again, well, what a waste. That's why I can't afford to fuck up again.

JACOB: You had no way to know-

TIMMS: Jacob, stop, I'm serious. This is my ship, and these are my soldiers. I accept blame for all of the missteps we've made since arriving. There's no more room for the soft approach, it's time to be completely ruthless.

[SFX: Timms’ communicator rings.]

TIMMS: Speaking of which… Mila, unless you've got good news, I don't want to hear it. Understood?

MILA: Crystal clear, Admiral. I'm happy to say that I have an excellent lead on mature elderweed plants, but here's the thing: your timeline doesn't work.

TIMMS: What?

MILA: That's right. It's too fast. Almost impossibly so. I'm gonna need time to move everything into place.

TIMMS: I don't know who the fu-

MILA: I've also repeatedly asked you for firepower. Human firepower. And thus far you've failed to deliver. As it stands, I can get you the elderweed plant, but without the arms I requested I won't be able to keep it.

TIMMS: I'm not arming a fucking militia for you, Mila-

MILA: How much longer can you hold the work camps with just the Wolves? And how long until they revolt too?

[SFX: A beat of silence, Timms draws in a long breath.]

MILA: You see, I have some intel of my own, and I've figured out that you need me a little bit more than I need you at the moment. So here's the new deal, I have a few requests.

TIMMS: Fine. Send your list to my assistant. You'll have what you need.

[SFX: Timms abruptly ends the call.]

TIMMS: I gotta go. Thanks for the drink.

JACOB: Are you sure, Max? You look like you could still use the time to rest.

TIMMS: Nope, in fact it's the opposite. It's time to get off my ass and pull the trigger on what needs to be done, however distasteful I find it.

[SFX: Timms walks away.]

JACOB: (sighing) That's what I'm afraid of.

[SFX: Doomy music ends the scene.]

[SFX: Benny begins to sing a stream-of-conscious song about his task clearing out the refuse, when suddenly, he hears someone clapping behind him.]

BENNY: Who the fuck is there?

CADE: A friend.

BENNY: I've got all the friends I need, Cade. Not looking for any more.

CADE: Now, Benny, why do I find that so hard to believe?

BENNY: You can go ahead and tell Mila that I'm good right where I am.

CADE: (disappointed) Aw, that's too bad, because we have a pretty sweet deal for you.

BENNY: I'm good.

CADE: Are you though? Look at yourself.

BENNY: I know it doesn't look like much, but these folks are really building something down here. I have a roof over my head, work I enjoy...

CADE: Benny, you're covered in shit.

BENNY: Just today I built somebody a brand new arm. It's incredible, and I did it all on my own.

CADE: You're an indentured servant.

BENNY: That's not true! They value me.

CADE: If they valued you so much, you wouldn't be doing their dirty work down here all by yourself

BENNY: There's nothing you could say that would change my mind. Now get out of here before someone else shows up, yeah?

CADE: I'll go. But not before you hear me out… Mila's willing to forgive your debts. She'll spring you from this shithole, and she'll put you to work. You'll be set for life. She just needs something from you first.

BENNY: Do you really think I'm concerned about my debt anymore? Who gives a shit about credits?! Look around, Cade!

CADE: I think you should be. Because if you don't do it...

[SFX: Benny knocks his shovel against the heavy metal bars.]

BENNY: You'll what? These things are thicker than my forearm. You and Mila's little goons sure as shit can't get in.

CADE: Fine, have it your way. Benny, you know me. I am not a violent woman. Hate having any blood on my hands, but Mila needs something that your people have. And she will spare absolutely no one to get it.

BENNY: Like I told you--

CADE: No, you listen to me, whatever guns you have pale in comparison to ours. Mila won't hesitate to burn this whole place up. How many exits are there down her anyways? You think this sewer is up to fire code?

BENNY: I won't let that happen.

CADE: What about Gert? You gonna take a chance like that? She might get hurt real bad-

BENNY: You leave her out of this.

CADE: I will, gladly. In fact, if you do this one job, nobody has to get hurt. If you don't, though… I'd just hate to see what Mila will do now that we know where your little hideout is.

BENNY: (Deep sigh) Okay, I'm listening.

[SFX: Menacing music plays out over the end of the scene, before transitioning to the end credits.]
